Constacyclic codes over F_q + uF_q + vF_q + uvF_q
Joël Kabore, Mohammed E. Charkani
Let q be a prime power and Fq be a nite eld. In this paper, we study constacyclic
codes over the ring F_q + uF_q + vF_q + uvF_q, where u2 = u; v2 = v and uv = vu: We
characterized the generator polynomials of constacyclic codes and their duals using
some decomposition of this ring.

GENETIC DIVERSITY OF CULTIVARS OF KUMBA GROUP (SOLANUM AETHIOPICUM) ASSESSED BY EST-SSRS
BATIONO-KANDO Pauline, NANEMA K. Romaric, KIÉBRE Zakaria, SAWADOGO Boureima, KIÉBRE Mariam, NÉBIE Baloua, SAWADOGO Nerbéwendé, TRAORÉ R. Ernest, SAWADOGO Mahamadou, ZONGO Jean-Didier
To determine genetic diversity among 43 cultivars of Kumba group (Solanum aethiopicum L.), 17 simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers were tested. Nine (9) EST-SSR markers used were polymorphic among the accessions studied. A total of 19 alleles were identified with an average of 2 alleles per marker. Furthermore, the accessions studied showe(...)

Background. – The associated factors contributing to a delay in mandatory tuberculosis notification in the Somme department, France, are not
yet known. The objective of this study was to analyze these factors.
Methods. – All reported cases of tuberculosis between 2007 and 2011 were retrospectively included. Univariate and multivariate analys(...)

Using new vaccine introduction as entry point for strengthening AEFI surveillance systems Lessons learned with MenAfriVac® in Burkina Faso
Dr Emile W. OUEDRAOGO
Dr Emile Ouédraogo of Burkina Faso reported how the introduction of a new vaccine – the meningitis vaccine MenAfriVac – provided an opportunity to strengthen the country’s AEFI surveillance system. Prior to this, training on spontaneous reporting of adverse drug reactions for malaria and HIV/TB medicines had been funded by the Global Fund, and(...)

Bloodstream infections and frequency of pretreatment associated with age and hospitalization status in sub-Saharan Africa
B. SOURA
Background. The clinical diagnosis of bacterial bloodstream infections (BSIs) in sub-Saharan Africa is routinely confused with malaria due to overlapping symptoms. The Typhoid Surveillance in Africa Program (TSAP) recruited febrile inpatients and outpatients of all ages using identical study procedures and enrollment criteria, thus providing a(...)

Aline Lamien-Meda, Martin Kiendrebeogo, Moussa Compaoré, Roland NT Meda, Markus Bacher, Karin Koenig, Thomas Pacher, Hans-Peter Fuehrer, Harald Noedl, Merlin Willcox, Johannes Novak
The present study focuses on development of phytochemical methods for quality assessment of two West-African Cochlospermum species (Cochlospermum planchonii and Cochlospermum tinctorium) traditionally used for malaria treatment in Burkina Faso. Antimalarial activity of preparations from dried rhizomes (decoction) was tested against the chloroq(...)

On the existence of ad-nilpotent elements

Greywater Treatment by High Rate Algal Pond under Sahelian Conditions for Reuse in Irrigation
MAIGA Ynoussa, TAKAHASHI Masahiro, SOMDA Thimotée Yirbour Kpangnane, MAIGA Amadou Hama
High Rate Algal Pond (HRAP) was constructed and operated using a mixer device to investigate its capability in treating greywater for reuse in gardening. Physico-chemical and microbiological parameters were monitored. With a hydraulic retention time of 7.5 days and a solid retention time of 20 days, the average removal efficiencies (ARE) were(...)

Zio River catchment drains many cities that it receives waste, domestic and industrial effluents and its waters used to supply drinking water from downstream to upstream. Some schools use it in school canteens without treatment. Meanwhile, no study on tools of water resources management is done in this basin and whole of Togo. To fill this gap(...)
